The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 22 March with increase in the market cap by 0.22% or EGP 254.496 billion compared to EGP 253.941 billion at the end of Tuesday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.68% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 244.468 million which represents 17.06 % of the total trading volume today after 7.402 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.43% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP72.2 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.47% at 15.488 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.36% to record 2.790 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by1.37 %to record 4.125 points.
