alBaraka Bank, ADIB Egypt and Credit Agricole Bank, Top listed banks in focusing on direct loans by end of 2022

FirstBank list of most focused listed banks on direct loans by the end of 2022 revealed that alBaraka Bank topped the list, by 73.31%, recording total direct loans of EGP25.94 bn at the end of last year, while total loans portfolio recorded EGP35.38 bn during the same period.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank occupied second place by 61.67% of direct loan portfolio, as it EGP36.80 bn at the end of 2022, while total loans recorded EGP59.68 bn at the end of the same period.

And the third place was taken by Credit Agricole Bank - Egypt,  direct loans reached 45.17% of total loans, as its loan portfolio recorded EGP 34.40 bn, while its direct loan portfolio recorded EGP15.54 bn by the end of 2022.

Commercial International Bank came fourth, with 35.69% of direct loan portfolio, as it recorded EGP 78.03 bn at the end of 2022, while its total loans recorded EGP 218.63 bn at the end of the same period.

QNB Al Ahli came in fifth place after the bank’s direct loan department contributed 30.28% of the bank’s total loans, EGL230.77 bn at the end of 2022, while its direct finance portfolio recorded 69.87 bn at the end of the same period.

It should be noted that all ratios and values ​​mentioned above are according to separate financial statements announced for each bank by the end of 2022.
