EGP index fell against a basket of major currencies to 52.997 points on Monday

The Egyptian pound index fell against the major currencies during Monday 3 April 2023. The index reached 52.997 points, compared to 53.028 points on yesterday’s trading.

The Egyptian pound index decreased against 2 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It fell against the pound sterling, Euro, it rose against Chinese Yuan, Japanese Yen, and settled against the UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, US dollar.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt rose from EGP 38.16 to EGP 38.25 at the end of today's trading, while the average buying rose from EGP 38.03 to EGP38.13

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 33.54 to EGP 33.61 and the average buying price rose from EGP 33.42 to EGP 33.49 at the end of today's trading

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt settled at EGP 8.24while the buying price rose from EGP 8.21 to EGP 8.22 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt fell from EGP 4.50 to EGP 4.49 while the buying price fell from EGP 4.48 to EGP 4.47 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt fell from EGP 23.29 to EGP 23.24 while the buying price fell from EGP 23.21 to EGP 23.16

The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP 30.93 and EGP 30.83 for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt settled at EGP 8.42 and EGP 8.39 for buying at the end of today's trading.
