Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 5 Abril with increase in the market cap by 1.13% or EGP268.047 billion compared to EGP265.045 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.04% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 222.520 million which represents 13.67% of the total trading volume today after 6.774 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.32% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX100 only and turnover amounted EGP 44.6 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.12% at 17.075 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.02% to record 2.987 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.08 %to record 4.486 points.
