Credit Agricole Bank's resources employment rate declines to 67.47%
resources employment rate at Credit Agricole Bank-Egypt decreased to 67.47% at the end of 2022, compared to 77.25% at the end of 2021.
The resources employment indicator, launched by First Bank, measures to what extent the bank is employing its traditional resources (deposits + equity) in loans and financial investments.
As Credit Agricole Bank employed EGP47.51 bn of its traditional resources, which recorded EGP70.42 bn by the end of 2022, in loans and financial investments, at EGP34.40 bn for total customer loans, and EGP13.11 bn for financial investments.
While employed EGP43.941 bn of its traditional resources, which recorded EGP56.885 bn by the end of 2021 in loans and financial investments, at a rate of EGP30.503 bn for total customer loans, and EGP13.438 bn for financial investments.
The bank's traditional resources were distributed at the end of 2022 between EGP48.22 bn, the value of deposit portfolio, and EGP8.67 bn, the value of shareholders' Equity at the end of the same period.
Moreover, Loans to deposits ratio decreased to 56.87% at the end of 2022, compared to 63.26% at the end of 2021, financial investments to deposit ratio decreased to 21.67% compared to 27.87% at the end of the same period.
The decrease in this index reinforced its departure from the value of the employment index at the level of the banking sector, which recorded 90.56% at the end of 2022, which indicates that it followed a sharp conservative policy towards loans and financial investments during the past year.
