ADCB Egypt leads the Egyptian banks in terms of credit cards' growth rate At 2022
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank - Egypt topped First Bank list of the fastest growing banks in credit cards, after its portfolio increased by 123.67% over the past year.
Credit card portfolio at ADCB jumped to EGP132.85 mn at the end of 2022, compared to EGP59.4 mn at the end of 2021, an increase of EGP73.45 mn.
The babk's credit card portfolio was distributed among various geographical sectors, Greater Cairo sectors jumped by 181.70%, reached EGP83.54 mn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP29.65 mn by the end. 2021, an increase of EGP53.88 mn.
Greater Cairo sectors acquired the largest share of the portfolio, as it constituted 62.88% of the total credit cards in the bank by the end of 2022.
The bank's credit card portfolio in Alexandria, Delta and Suez Canal increased from EGP 22.62mn at the end of 2021 to EGP 37.56mn at the end of 2022, achieving a growth rate of 66.03%, and an increase of EGP 14.94mn.
Alexandria, Delta and Suez Canal acquired 28.27% of the bank's total credit cards by the end of 2022.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank - Egypt credit card portfolio rose to EGP 11.75 mn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP7.12 mn by the end of 2021, achieving a growth rate of 65.05%, and an increase of EGP4.63 mn.
Red Sea and Upper Egypt acquired the largest share of the portfolio, as it constituted about 8.84% of the total credit cards by the end of 2022.
