EBank, CIB, and Suez Canal bank, fastest-growing listed banks in terms of corporate loans in Q1-2023
First Bank list of the fastest-growing listed banks in terms of corporate loans in the first quarter of the current year revealed that EBank topped the list with a growth rate of 17.67%. Its total portfolio increased to EGP47.4 bn by the end of March 2023, compared to EGP 40.3 bn by the end of December 2022.
The list, which included 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that all the banks achieved positive growth rates in their total corporate loan portfolios during the period from January to March 2023.
Commercial International Bank - Egypt came second after its total corporate loans jumped by a growth rate of 15.11% during the first quarter of the current year, reaching EGP190.3 bn by the end of March 2023, compared to EGP 165.3 bn by the end of December 2022.
As for the third place, it went to Suez Canal Bank after its total corporate loan portfolio increased by a growth rate of 13.83% during the first quarter of the current year, recording EGP 33.4 bn by the end of March 2023, compared to EGP29.4 bn by the end of December 2022.
saib ranked fourth with a growth rate of 12.75% during the first 3 months of the current year, with its total portfolio reaching EGP34.8 bn by the end of March 2023, compared to EGP 30.9 bn by the end of December 2022.
Egyptian Gulf Bank ranked fifth with a growth rate of 11.84% during the first quarter of the current year, as its total corporate loan portfolio increased from EGP 19.9 bn by the end of December 2022 to EGP22.3 bn by the end of March 2023.
It is worth noting that all the values and growth rates mentioned above, are based on separate financial statements announced for each bank by the end of March 2023.
