Top Listed Banks in Return on Average Assets during H1-2023: Credit Agricole bank, HD Bank and CIB Take the Lead

First Bank List of The Best listed Banks In Investing Their Assets (Return On Average Assets-ROA) During The First Half Of The Current Year. Revealed Credit Agricole Bank - Egypt Topped The List With A Rate Of 2.98% After Achieving A Net Profit Of EGP 2.509 Bn During The Analyzed Period.
The List, Which Included 11 Banks Listed On The Egyptian Stock Exchange, Revealed That All Banks Achieved Positive ROAs, Due To The Banks' Ability To Achieve Varying Levels Of Net Profits Without Any Losses During The Period From January To June 2023.
ROA Measures The Efficiency Of Banks In Investing Their Assets To Generate Net Profits During The Analyzed Period. A Higher Return Indicates The Bank's Effectiveness In Utilizing Its Assets To Achieve Suitable Profit Levels.
Housing & Development Bank-HD Bank Secured The Second Position, After Recording A Rate Of ROA 2.81% During The First Half Of 2023. This Was A Result Of Its Net Profit Rising To EGP 3.015 Bn During The Same Period Of The Current Year.
As For The Third Position, It Was Obtained By Commercial International Bank-Egypt, It Was Able To Achieve ROA Of 1.98% From January To June 2023. The Bank Managed To Achieve A Net Profit Of EGP 14.144 Bn During That Period.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt Claimed The Fourth Position After It Recorded ROA Of 1.68%, Due To Its Net Profit Rising To EGP 2.702 Bn During The First 6 Months Of The Current Year.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank- Egypt Secured The Fifth Position With ROA 1.65% During The First Half Of The Current Year. It Recorded A Net Profit Of EGP 2.088 Bn During The Same Period.
It Should Be Noted That All Values Used In Calculating ROAs Are Based On Separate Announced Financial Statements Of Each Bank At The End Of June 2023.
