Counselor Ahmed Bendari, the executive director of National Elections Authority, announced the selection of NBE and Banque Misr to open campaign accounts for those wishing to run in the upcoming presidential elections.

This announcement was made during a press conference held yesterday, Wednesday, at Nasr City conference hall. It was in response to a directive from the Authority's board of directors to inform the public about the preparations made by National Elections Authority for the upcoming presidential elections.

Bendari added that this step aims to identify and monitor these campaigns in terms of their funding sources and expenditures without account secrecy, in accordance with the law. He also mentioned the development of a comprehensive training plan for all participants in the electoral process, including members of newly joined electoral bodies and administrative staff who have not previously participated.

It's worth noting that the executive body has prepared a comprehensive report that includes completing all the assignments and guidelines set by the Authority's board of directors, under the leadership of Counselor Walid Hamza, the Chairman of the Authority, as part of the preparations for this important electoral event.

The executive body has submitted its report to the board of directors of National Elections Authority, which, in turn, held several meetings to ensure full readiness for conducting the electoral process in accordance with the provisions of the constitution, laws, and established national and international election practices.

As part of National Elections Authority's commitment to continuous communication with the press and media, the Authority has invited all representatives of newspapers, news agencies, and accredited local and international media to attend the scheduled press conference and cover its proceedings.
