NBK-Egypt, Ahli United Bank, and EBank, top banks in loans to deposits ratio by June-2023 end
First Bank
According to First Bank's list of best banks in loans to deposits ratio (loans/deposits), NBK-Egypt topped the list with a deposit employment rate of 75.66%, having provided loans totaling EGP68.032 bn with deposits reaching about EGP89.916 bn by June 2023.
Ahli United Bank-Egypt secured the second position with a deposit employment rate of 72.65%, extending loans worth EGP61.267 bn, with deposits amounting to EGP 84.335 bn by the end of June 2023.
EBank came third, with a deposit employment rate of 62.68%, offering loans totaling EGP52.733 bn and having deposits of EGP84.134 bn by the end of June 2023.
Attijariwafa bank- Egypt ranked fourth with 61.48%, providing loans totaling EGP 37.088 bn, while its deposits amounted to EGP60.326 bn by the end of the same period.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) Egypt secured the fifth position with 58.76%, having deposits of EGP 110.630 bn and total loans of approximately EGP65.010 bn by the end of June 2023.
As for sixth place, it was obtained by NBE after employing deposits rate reached about 58.18%, as total loans to its customers recorded about EGP1.978 tn, while the size of its deposit portfolio reached EGP3.400 tn by the end of June 2023.
saib claimed the seventh position with 55.81%, recording deposits of EGP83.818 bn and total loans of EGP46.777 bn by the end of the same period.
Qatar National Bank (QNB) Egypt ranked eighth with 55.08%, holding total loans of around EGP254 bn and deposits of EGP461 bn by the end of June 2023.
ABK-Egypt occupied the ninth position with a deposit utilization rate of 54.65%, providing total loans of EGP39.018 bn and having deposits amounting to EGP 71.394 bn by the end of the same period.
Emirates NBD Egypt secured the tenth position with 53.69%, offering loans totaling EGP51.465 bn, while its deposits reached EGP95.860 bn by the end of June 2023.
