Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 2 November with Increase in the market cap by 1.16% to record EGP 344.614 bn compared to EGP 340.651 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.42% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 268.446 mn which represents 9.24% of the total trading volume today after 5.916 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.69% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.92% and 22.880 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Increased by 2.49% to record 4.412 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 2.12% to record 6.581 points.
