Credit Agricole Bank, CIB, and QNB ALAHLI, Fastest-growing listed banks in deposits during 9M-2023

First Bank list of listed banks with the fastest growth in customer deposits during the first 9 months of this year revealed that Credit Agricole Bank – Egypt topped the list with a growth rate of 33.50%, after its total customer deposits increased from EGP60.49 bn at the end of December 2022, to EGP80.76 bn by the end of September 2023.
First Bank list reveals total customer deposits for 11 listed banks on the Egyptian stock exchange, showing positive growth rates in their portfolios from January to September 2023.
Returning to the list, Commercial International Bank – Egypt (“CIB”) takes the second position with a 25.61% growth, reaching EGP 665.90 bn by the end of September 2023, compared to EGP 530.13 bn at the end of December 2022.
Qatar National Bank Alahli ranks third with a 22.42% growth during the first 9 months of the current year, recording a total customer deposit portfolio of around EGP 498.34 bn by the end of September 2023, compared to EGP 407.07 bn at the end of December 2022.
Egyptian Export Development Bank (“Ebank”) secures the fourth position on the list with an 18.29% growth during the first 9 months of the current year. Its total deposit portfolio rose to EGP 86.18 bn by the end of September 2023, compared to EGP 72.85 bn at the end of December 2022.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt takes the fifth position with a 17.97% growth during the first 9 months of the current year. Its customer deposit portfolio increased from EGP 97.74 bn at the end of December 2022 to EGP 115.31 bn by the end of September 2023. Following closely are saib and Suez Canal Bank with growth rates of 17.32% and 14.15%, respectively, during the same period.
