EBank, ADIB-Egypt, and Crédit Agricole Bank, Fastest-growing banks in mortgage loans during H1-2023
First Bank
According to FirstBank list of fastest-growing banks in mortgage loans, Ebank topped the list with a growth rate of 48.25% in the first half of the current year.
The bank's total loan portfolio increased to EGP631.2 mn by the end of June 2023, compared to EGP425.8 mn by the end of December 2022.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt secured the second position with a 46.25% growth rate, reaching EGP358.8 mn by June 2023, up from EGP245.4 mn by December 2022.
Crédit Agricole - Egypt came in third, recording a growth rate of 45.10%, with its total loan portfolio reaching EGP 705.2 mn by June 2023, compared to EGP486 mn by December 2022.
NBK - Egypt ranked fourth with a 45.10% growth rate, increasing its total loan portfolio to EGP928.6 mn by June 2023 from EGP643.9 mn by December 2022.
AAIB secured the fifth position with a 32.56% growth rate, reaching EGP2.457 bn by June 2023, compared to EGP 1.854 bn by December 2022.
Banque du caire followed with a growth rate of 24.86% during the same period.
aiBank claimed the seventh position with a 21.46% growth rate, totaling EGP766.1 mn in its loan portfolio by June 2023, up from EGP630.7 mn by December 2022.
CIB secured the eighth position with a 15% growth rate, reaching EGP3.898 bn in its total loan portfolio by June 2023, compared to EGP 3.39 bn by December 2022.
Qatar National Bank Al Ahli (QNB) followed with a growth rate of 13.42% during the same period.
Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGBANK) ranked ninth with a growth rate of 11.30%, reaching approximately EGP 376.7 mn in its mortgage loan portfolio by June 2023, up from EGP 338.5 mn by December 2022.
