Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursdays 30 November with decrease in the market cap by 0.6% to record EGP 409.162 bn compared to EGP 411.442 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.48% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 747.051 mn which represents 17.05% of the total trading volume today after 11.325 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.81% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.10.% and 25.016 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.69% to record 5.274 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 1.5% to record 7.647 points.
