Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 26 October with Increase in the market cap by 2.11% to record EGP 337.514 bn compared to EGP 330.532 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.12% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 646.832 mn which represents 12.68% of the total trading volume today after 13.698 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.20% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 167.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.56% and 23.438 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.51% to record 4.368 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.36% to record 6.635 points.
