EGP index declined against a basket of major currencies to 53.473 points on Thursday

The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during Thursday 4 January 2024, The index reached 53.473 points, compared to 53.532 points at Yesterday's trading.
The Egyptian pound index Fell against 2 Currency among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It Fell against the pound sterling, Euro, it rose against Japanese Yen, and settled against, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, Chinese Yuan, US dollar.
The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt increased from EGP 33.78 to EGP 33.88 while the average buying rose from EGP 33.66 to EGP 33.76 at the end of today's trading.
The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt increased from EGP 39.06 to EGP 39.27 while the average buying rose from EGP 38.93 to EGP 39.13 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 21.64 to EGP 21.47 while the average buying Fell from EGP 21.57 to EGP 21.40.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt settled at EGP 4.32. while the average buying settled at EGP 4.31.at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt settled at EGP 8.24 while the average buying settled at EGP 8.22.at the end of today's trading
The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP 30.93 while the average buying rose from EGP30.83 to EGP 30.84.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt settled at EGP 8.42 and EGP 8.39 for buying at the end of today's trading.
