The latest bulletin of the Central Bank of Egypt, issued on the bank’s website, revealed that loans granted to Household sector increased by 18.1% during 10M 202‪3, to record EGP903bn at the end of October 2023, compared to EGP764.52 bn at the end of December 2022, an increase of EGP 138.4 bn.

Total household sector loans in local currency only increased by 17.63%. to record EGP 887.9 bn at the end of October 2023, compared to EGP 754.8 bn at the end of December 2022.

While Total household sector loans in foreign currency jumped with a growth rate of 55.3%, to record EGP 15.033 bn at the end of October 2023, compared to EGP 9.68 bn at the end of December 2022, an increase of EGP 5.35.

Total loans to customers from banks increased by a growth rate of 27.12%, to record EGP 5.101 tn at the end of October 2023, compared to EGP 4.01 tn at the end of December 2022, an increase of EGP 1.088 tn.
