CBE: Domestic liquidity grows by 18.7%, recording EGP 8.8 tn by November 2023end

The latest data of the Central Bank of Egypt, revealed an increase in local liquidity by a growth rate of 18.70% during 11M-2023, to record EGP 8.787 tn by the end of November 2023, compared to EGP 7.402 tn at the end of 2022, with an increase of EGP1.348 tn.
Domestic liquidity consists of cash and money supply, categorized under cash supply; circulating cash outside the banking system and current deposits in the local currency.
The money supply increased to EGP 2.33 tn by the end of November 2023, compared to EGP 1.74 tn by the end of December 2022, with a growth rate of 34.22%, and an increase of EGP 595.314 bn.
