The Egyptian pound index increased 1.063 points against the major of currencies over the week, it rose to 40.992 points, compared to 39.929 points at last Thursday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index increased against all major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It rose against Euro, Pound Sterling, Japanese Yen, Saudi riyal, Chinese yuan, UAE Dirham, and US dollar.

The average selling rate of the US dollar in Egypt Fell from EGP 47.87 to EGP 46.72 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate decreased from EGP 47.77 to EGP 46.62.

The average selling rate of the Euro in Egypt Fell from EGP 52.39 to EGP 51.01 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate decreased from EGP 52.27 to EGP 50.88.

The average rate of the Pound Sterling in Egypt decreased from EGP 61.32 to EGP 59.65 over the week's trading while the average buying price decreased from EGP 61.19 to EGP 59.50.

The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 32.40 to EGP 30.94 while the buying rate declined from EGP32.33 to EGP 30.87.

The average rate of the Chinese Yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP6.65 to EGP 6.49 while the buying declined from EGP6.64 to EGP 6.47.

The average selling rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt decreased from EGP 12.76 to EGP 45 while the buying declined from EGP 12.73 to EGP 12.43 to at the week's trading.

The average selling rate of the UAE dirham in Egypt fell from EGP 13.03 to EGP 12.72 while buying price declined from EGP 13.00 to EGP 12.69 to at the week's trading.
