CAPMAS: Annual inflation rate declined to 33.1% by March -2024 End

Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced, an decrease in the annual inflation rate for commodity prices in the total republic during March 2024 to 33.1%, compared to 36% at the end of February 2024.
The most important reasons for this decline are due to the decrease in prices of the group of grains and bread by 0.3%,the group of vegetables by 3.5%.
While the group of meat and poultry rose by 2.3% and the change in prices of the group of grains and bread by 1.6%. the sugar and sugary foods group rose by 1.1%; and the group of coffee, tea, and cocoa group increased by 1.1%.
Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics indicated that the monthly inflation rate for the total republic recorded 10% during the last March, compared to 11% during February 2024.
