EGP index rose against a basket of major currencies to 40.707 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during May 12 2024, the index reached 40.707 points, compared to 40.701 points at last Thursday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 4 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, It rose against, US dollar, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, Chinese Yuan, it fell against Euro pound sterling, and settled against Japanese Yen.

The average selling price of the US dollar in Egypt fell from EGP 47.38 to EGP 47.32 while the average buying decreased from EGP 47.28 to EGP 47.22 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP 6.55 to EGP 6.54 while the average buying fell from EGP 6.54 to EGP 6.53 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.63 to EGP 12.61 while the average buying fell from EGP 12.60 to EGP 12.59 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt decreased from EGP 12.90 to EGP 12.88 while the average buying fell from EGP 12.87 to EGP 12.85 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt settled at EGP 30.39 while the average buying settled at EGP 30.32 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 50.87 to EGP 50.98 while the average buying decreased from EGP 50.74 to EGP 50.85 at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt increased from EGP 59.06 to EGP 59.27 while the average buying fell from EGP 58.92 to EGP 59.13 at the end of today's trading.
