Faisal Islamic Bank, Alex bank, and CIB Top banks in focusing on Retail Deposits by end of 2023

FirstBank's List Of Banks With The Highest Focus On Retail Loans At The End Of Last December Revealed That Faisal Islamic Bank Topped The List, With Its Retail Loan Portfolio Accounting For 96.225% Of The Bank's Total deposits, Amounting To EGP 130.46 Bn. Total Customer deposits portfolio Was EGP 125.57 Bn by the end of December 2023.

The List Reveals The Banks' Strategies In Forming Their Deposit Portfolios, Emphasizing The Diversity In Offering Certificates And Products To Attract More Customers. The Ranking Is Based On The Ratio Of Retail Deposits To Total Deposits, Providing An Indicator Of The Bank's Concentration On Retail Deposits.

 Alex Bank Secured The Second Position, With 65.91% Of Its Total Deposits Concentrated In Its retail Deposit Portfolio, Totaling EGP 133.34 Bn by the end of December 2023, While The Bank's Total Deposit Portfolio Amounted To About EGP 87.88 Bn By The End Of the same period.

CIB Secured The third Position, With 54.70 % Of Its total Deposits in retail deposits Portfolio, Valued At EGP 369.37 bn, while total customer Deposits portofilo, Which Amounted To EGP 675.31 bn by the end of December 2023, Followed By Banque du caire, With Concentration Ratio Of 54.31% by the end of The Same Period.

HD Bank Secured The Fifth Position, With 50.49% Of Its total customer Deposits, Valued At EGP 101.27 Bn in retail deposits portfolio amounted to EGP 51.13 bn By The End Of December 2023.

alBaraka Bank Egypt Claimed The sixth Position, With 49.02% Of Its customer Deposit Portfolio, Totaling EGP 85.01 Bn, Dedicated To Retail Deposits Amounting To Approximately EGP 41.67 By The End Of December 2023.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt Ranked Seventh, With 45.40% Of Its Total Deposit Portfolio Of EGP 127.13 Bn By The End Of December 2023 Dedicated To Retail Deposits, Which Amounted To EGP 57.72 Bn, Followed By NBK Egypt, With Concentration Ratio Of 44.22% During The Same Period.

The Nine Position Went To AAIB, With 42.03% Of Its customer Deposit Portfolio, Valued At EGP 393.99 Bn, Focused On Retail Deposits Amounting To EGP 165.59 Bn By The End Of December 2023.

Attijariwafa Bank Egypt Ranked Tenth, With 35.27% Of Its Total Deposit Portfolio Of EGP 76.38 Bn By The End Of December 2023 Dedicated To Retail Deposits, Which Amounted To EGP 26.94 Bn by the end of The Same Period, followed by QNB Al-Ahli and aiBANK Concentration Ratio of 32.71% and 29.72% respectively by The End Of the same period.
