CBE’s Governor Delivers the Final Communiqué of the 2024 Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank Group

The Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), Hassan Abdalla, and the Governor of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) delivered the final communiqué of the 2024 annual meetings that took place, from the 27th to 31st of May, in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
During the annual meetings, held under the theme “Africa’s Transformation, the African Development Bank Group, and the Reform of the Global Financial Architecture”, the Governor headed a high-level Egyptian delegation, which encompassed H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, and Mr. Tarek El Kholy, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt.
The Egyptian delegation actively participated in the event's sessions, and Governor Abdalla was nominated to deliver the communiqué, which highlighted the key outcomes that were agreed upon among the governors of the 81 member countries.
On the sidelines of the annual meetings, Governor Abdalla embarked on a series of meetings and discussions with his counterparts representing the member countries. His Excellency discussed a number of issues and topics of common interest that aim at empowering the developmental efforts in Africa. This aligns with the Strategic Vision of solidifying Egypt's pivotal role in the continent, as well as strengthening Egypt's participation in the regional and international forums.
