CBE: Egyptian workers' remittances rose to 66% in June 2024

The Central Bank of Egypt revealed that Egyptian workers' remittances increased in June 2024 (for the fourth consecutive month) by 65.9%, recording about $2.6 bn (compared to about $1.5 bn in June 2023).
CBE statement revealed that Egyptian workers' remittances rose more than double compared to what it achieved before the pre-reform actions on March 6, 2024, recording about $1.3 bn in February 2024.
Remittances in April 2024 also saw a 61.4% rise of about $7.5 bn (compared to about $4.6 bn during the corresponding period).
