CBE: Domestic liquidity rises to EGP 10.10 tn by April 2024 end

The latest data of the Central Bank of Egypt, revealed an increase in domestic liquidity by a growth rate of 13.8% during last April, to record EGP 10.098 tn by the end of April 2024, compared to EGP 8.87 tn at the end of 2023, with an increase of EGP1.221 tn.
Domestic liquidity consists of cash and money supply, categorized under cash supply; circulating cash outside the banking system and current deposits in the local currency.
The money supply increased to EGP 2.485 tn by the end of April 2024, compared to EGP 2.370 tn by the end of December 2023, with a growth rate of 4.9%, and an increase of EGP 115 bn.
