Al Baraka, HDB, CIB, Saib fastest growing listed banks in terms of loans in 9M
Al Baraka Bank – Egypt topped First Bank list of fastest growing listed banks in terms of loans during the first 9 months of 2022
The bank’s total loans portfolio posted EGP 31.2 billion at the end of September 2022, compared to EGP 24.3 billion at the end of 2021، With A Growth Rate Of 28.72%.
First bank rating list, which included 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that listed banks recorded positive growth rates in terms of loans portfolio during the period from January to September 2022.
Housing and Development Bank came in second place with a growth rate of 27.3%, bringing total customer loans to 34.3 billion pounds at the end of September 2022, compared to 26.9 billion pounds at the end of December 2021.
The Commercial International Bank came in third place, with a growth rate 21.39 % during 9M. Its total loans recorded EGP 163.1 billion at the end of December 2021 while increasing to 198 billion at the end of September 2022.
In addition, SAIB was in fourth place; as its total loans and facilities jumped to EGP 41.3 billion pounds at the end of September 2022, compared to 34.1 billion at the end of 2021.with a growth rate of 21.05%.
Furthermore, E-Bank ranked fifth, after its loans portfolio rose to 43.8 billion pounds at the end of September 2022, compared to 36.6 billion pounds at the end of December 2021, with a growth rate of 20.51%, followed by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank with a growth rate of 20.35% during the same period.
However, the Suez Canal Bank ranked seventh among bringing its total loans and facilities to EGP 30.1 billion at the end of last September, compared to EGP 25.7 billion at the end of December 2021, with growth rate of 17.30%.
The figures included in the list are according to the independent financial results announced for each bank by the end of September 2022.
