HDB, QNB, CIB, Saib fastest growing listed banks in terms of deposits in 9M
Housing and Development Bank topped First Bank list of fastest growing listed banks in terms of deposits during the first 9 months of 2022
The bank’s total deposits portfolio posted EGP 24.3 billion at the end of September 2022, compared to EGP 87.2 billion at the end of 2021 with a growth rate of 38.7%
First bank rating list, which included 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that listed banks recorded positive growth rates in terms of deposits portfolio during the period from January to September 2022.
QNB Al Ahli Bank came in second place, after in increasing its deposits portfolio by EGP80.7 billion, to jump from 296.2 billion pounds at the end of December 2021; to EGP377 billion at the end of September 2022, with a growth rate of 27.24%.
The Commercial International Bank came in third place, with a growth rate 22.53% during 9M. Its total deposits recorded EGP497.6 billion at the end of September 2022, compared to EGP 406.1 billion pounds at the end of December 2021.
In addition, SAIB was in fourth place; as its deposit portfolio increased from EGP 62.3 billion at the end of December 2021 to EGP 71.8 billion at the end of June 2022, with a growth rate of 15.24%.
Furthermore, The Egyptian Gulf Bank “EGBANK” came fifth, with a growth rate of 14.35%. Its deposit portfolio generated 73.7 billion pounds at the end of September 2022, compared to EGP 64.4 billion at the end of December 2021.
