NBE retains its lead in quality management field of the legal group and awarded ‘ISO 9001/2015’

NBE announced the success of the Bank's legal group - for the third year in a row - in maintaining the quality certificate (ISO 9001/2015) Awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI), internationally pioneering leader in quality management of the legal group, as the first legal group in Egypt, Africa and the Middle East to receive it in this area from the donor, which was previously awarded to the Bank for the first time in 2022.

This is an unprecedented achievement at the level of the legal groups in the banking sector locally and internationally, which enhances the ability of the NBE to comply with international best practices and standards. The Authority granted this certificate to the Bank after conducting careful external audits of the business of the legal group sectors of the Bank to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.

Hisham Okasha, head of the legal group at NBE, expressed his pride in the continuity of the legal group in complying with the requirements of the ISO 9001/2015 certificate in the field of quality management for the third consecutive year, thereby supporting the trust and appreciation of international institutions in the management systems and standards of the National Bank of Egypt, and also reflecting the efficiency of the team of the legal group.

He highlighted the Bank's ability and interest in applying the highest standards of quality in modern legal methods and procedures and controls that keep pace with the global development in this area and applied in the major financial and banking institutions, under the partnership of the legal group with various other groups of the Bank in the conduct of business and the association of all task forces to achieve the highest quality and efficiency rates in banking services provided to customers.

Ashraf Shaaban, Chief Executive Officer of the NBE Group Legal, added that the Bank's success in retaining this certificate for the third consecutive year reflects the efforts of all human resources and trained competencies in the legal group with its litigation and legal support. That strengthened the role of the National Bank of Egypt in adopting and applying international best practices and standards and continuously striving for development to keep abreast of everything that is new in the legal field and work to find legal solutions for risk management.
