Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 4 December 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.31% to record EGP 483.095 bn compared to EGP 481.604 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.32% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 259.603 mn which represents 6.13% of the total trading volume today after 5.510 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.58% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 58.2 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.67% to reach 31.005 points EGX70 increases by 0.44% to record 8.521 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.57% to record 11.699 points
