Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday 's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday, 6 March 2025 with an increases in the market cap by 0.23% to record EGP 474.471 bn compared to EGP 473.364 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 145.174 mn which represents 4.41% of the total trading volume today after 4.326 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.38% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increases by 0.23% to reach 30.975 points EGX70 increases by 0.19% to record 8.561 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.23% to record 11.872 points.
