EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 37.394 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during , 8 April 2025, the index reached 37.394 points, compared to 37.261 points at last Tuesday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 7 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it rose against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, Japanese Yen, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal and fell against Chinese Yuan.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt decreased from EGP 51.44 to EGP 51.31 while the average buying fell from EGP 51.34 to EGP 51.21 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt decreased from EGP  56.38 to EGP 56.17 while the average buying fell from EGP 56.26 to EGP 56.26 at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 65.93 to EGP 65.57 while the average buying fell from EGP 65.77 to EGP 65.40 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt fell from EGP 35.11 to EGP 34.93 while the average buying decreased from EGP 35.04 to EGP 34.86 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt decreased from EGP 14.00 to EGP 13.97 while the average buying fell from EGP 19.97 to EGP 13.94 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal decreased from EGP 13.70 to EGP 13.66 while the average buying fell from EGP 13.67 to EGP 13.64 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP 7.03 to EGP 6.99 while the average buying price fell from EGP 7.02 to EGP 6.97  at the end.
