QNB Egypt tops Fastest growing listed banks in syndicated loans during Q1-2025

Qatar National Bank «QNB» Egypt has significantly increased its syndicated loans during the current year, which is evident in the increase in its portfolio to 45.49 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 34.78 billion pounds by the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 30.8% on a quarterly basis.

This strong performance prompted the bank to top the «First Bank» list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange with the fastest growth in syndicated loans during the first quarter of 2025.

It is worth noting that Qatar National Bank «QNB» Egypt achieved net profits of 6.95 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 6.85 billion pounds during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 1.5%, and a total increase of 100.99 million pounds.

The bank's profits before income taxes amounted to 9.92 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 10.28 billion pounds during the same period in 2024.

Net interest income rose to 11 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 9.72 billion pounds during the same corresponding period in 2024, with a growth rate of 13.2%, and a total increase of 1.29 billion pounds.

Net fees and commissions income jumped by about 36.1% during the first 3 months of this year, recording 1.74 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 1.28 billion pounds during the same period in 2024.

In terms of the bank’s financial position, its portfolio of assets increased to 847.95 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 808.98 billion pounds by the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 4.8%, and an increase of 38.97 billion pounds.

The bank's total loans to customers jumped to 386.16 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 365.29 billion pounds by the end of 2024, a growth rate of 5.7%, and an increase of 20.87 billion pounds.

Its portfolio of customer deposits increased by about 6.9% during the first 3 months of this year, reaching 729.21 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 681.86 billion pounds by the end of 2024, an increase estimated at about 47.34 billion pounds.
