CIB's asset portfolio jumps by 194.9% in 4 years

Commercial International Bank «CIB» has strengthened its financial position significantly over the past 4 years, which is evident in the increase in its assets portfolio to EGP 1.26 tn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 426.14 bn by the end of 2020, with a growth rate of 194.9%, and a total increase of EGP 830.51 bn.

Tracking its journey over the period under analysis, we find that the highest annual growth rate witnessed by the portfolio and the highest value increase was during 2024, when the volume of the bank’s assets increased by about 45.3%, reaching EGP 1.21 tn at the end of last year, compared to EGP 832.53 bn at the end of 2023, which represents a total increase of EGP 376.79 bn.

As for the current year, its portfolio of assets increased to 1.26 trillion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 1.21 trillion pounds by the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 3.9%, and a total increase of EGP 47.34 bn.

In general, Commercial International Bank «CIB» achieved strong performance during the current year, as its net profits increased to EGP 16.6 bn during the first quarter of 2025, compared to EGP 11.95 bn during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 38.9%, and a total increase of EGP 4.65 bn.  

Profit before income taxes jumped from EGP 17.51 bn during the first quarter of 2024, to EGP 22.7 bn during the same period in 2025, with a growth rate of 29.7%, and a total increase of EGP 5.19 bn.

Net interest income increased by about 34.8%, reaching EGP 25.3 bn during the first 3 months of 2025, compared to EGP 18.76 bn during the same period in 2024, an increase estimated at EGP 6.54 bn.  

Its total financial investments increased by about 11.8% during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 447.41 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 400.31 bn by the end of 2024, with an increase of EGP 47.11 bn.

The bank’s customer deposit portfolio increased by about 2.9% during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 996.12 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 967.9 bn by the end of 2024, distributed as follows: EGP 571.56 bn for individuals and EGP 424.56 bn for corporates.

The bank's total customer loans jumped by about 5% during the first quarter of this year, to record EGP 409.2 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 389.58 bn by the end of 2024, including EGP 328.44 bn for corporates, and EGP 80.76 bn for individuals
