QNB Egypt, CIB and ADIB top fastest-growing listed banks on First Bank depositor confidence index during Q1-2025

First Bank depositor confidence index for banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that Qatar National Bank «QNB» Egypt seized first place on the index, as its portfolio of customer deposits jumped by EGP 47.34 bn during the first 3 months of this year, to record EGP 729.21 bn by the end of last March, compared to EGP 681.86 bn by the end of 2024.

The «First Bank» Depositor Confidence Index monitored the value of the increase in the size of deposit portfolios with all banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (numbering 12 banks) during the first quarter of 2025, and revealed the success of 9 banks in increasing the size of their portfolios, while 3 banks recorded a noticeable decline.

The «First Bank» Depositor Confidence Index is an indicator that was launched to measure savers’ trends and their confidence in linking deposits and certificates to Egyptian banks during a certain period of time.Its measurement depends on the value of the increase in the balance of deposit portfolios with banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, so that it becomes the largest bank that received new deposits during The first quarter of 2025 is the first bank on the index.

The index showed that the total volume of customer deposits in banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange jumped by EGP 127.72 bn during the first quarter of this year, recording EGP 3.07 tn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 2.94 tn by the end of 2024.

Returning to the list, Commercial International Bank - Egypt «CIB» won second place, after it succeeded in increasing its deposit portfolio by EGP 28.22 bn during the first quarter of this year, bringing its portfolio to EGP 996.12 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 967.90 bn by the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB» came in third place, as its portfolio of customer deposits increased by EGP 17.87 bn during the first quarter of this year to reach EGP 218.15 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 200.28 bn by the end of 2024.

Suez Canal Bank took fourth place, after its customer deposit portfolio increased by about EGP 15.84 bn during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 151.32 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 135.47 bn by the end of 2024.

saib ranked fifth, after its portfolio of customer deposits increased by 12.13 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, recording EGP 129.58 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 117.45 bn by the end of 2024.
