Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday, 19 June 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 1.20% to record EGP 466.979 bn compared to EGP 472.674 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.51% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 701.826 mn which represents 15.76% of the total trading volume today after 10.265 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.07% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 1.91% to reach 30.919 points EGX70 decrease by 2.01% to record 9.089 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 1.81% to record 12.350 points.
