Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 1 July 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.22% to record EGP 494.333 bn compared to EGP 495.405 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.95% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 149.664 mn which represents 2.89% of the total trading volume today after 4.317 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.27% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.46% to reach 32.922 points EGX70 decrease by 0.85% to record 9.999 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.96% to record 13.505 points.
