ADCB - Egypt tops fastest growing bank in equity during Q1-2025

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank - Egypt «ADCB» achieved remarkable growth in its total equity over the past year, which is evident in the increase in its portfolio to 14.69 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 13.43 billion pounds at the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 9.4% on a quarterly basis.
This strong performance prompted the bank to top the «First Bank» list of the fastest growing banks in total equity during the first quarter of 2025.
It is worth noting that Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank - Egypt «ADCB» achieved strong performance during the current year, as its net profits increased to 1.51 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 909.68 million pounds during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 66.3%, and a total increase of 603.19 million pounds.
The bank’s profits before income taxes jumped to 2.15 billion pounds during the first 3 months of 2025, compared to 1.36 billion pounds during the same corresponding period in 2024, with a growth rate of 58.1%, and an increase estimated at about 789.64 million pounds.
Net income from revenue increased from 1.68 billion pounds during the first 3 months of 2024, to 2.44 billion pounds during the same period in 2025, representing a growth of about 44.6%.
Net revenues from fees and commissions jumped to 344.44 million pounds during the first 3 months of 2025, compared to 247.92 million pounds during the corresponding period in 2024, with a growth rate of 38.9% and an increase of 96.52 million pounds.
In terms of the bank’s financial position, its portfolio of assets increased by about 8.1% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 145.03 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 134.16 billion pounds by the end of 2024, an increase of 10.87 billion pounds.
Its portfolio of customer deposits rose to 124.30 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 116.50 billion pounds by the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 6.70%, and an increase estimated at about 7.80 billion pounds.
The bank's total loans to customers jumped by about 15.2% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 63.28 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 54.96 billion pounds by the end of 2024, a total increase of 8.32 billion pounds.
