EGBANK, SC Bank and KHF-Egypt Top Fastest-Growing Banks in Retail Financing During H1-2025

First Bank’s list of the fastest-growing banks in retail financing during the first half of 2025 revealed that EGBANK topped the ranking with a growth rate of 58%. Its retail financing portfolio rose to EGP 25.35 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 16.05 billion at the end of 2024.

The list monitored the retail financing portfolios of 25 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, based on available financial data. Results showed that all banks recorded positive growth in retail financing during the first half of 2025.

Suez Canal Bank came in second place, as its retail financing portfolio increased by 35.8% to reach EGP 7.46 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 5.49 billion at the end of 2024.

Kuwait Housing Financing Bank – Egypt «KHF-Egypt» secured third place, recording a 31.7% jump to EGP 6.52 billion, up from EGP 5.49 billion at the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» ranked fourth with 28.8% growth, as retail financing rose to EGP 35.63 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 27.66 billion at the end of 2024.

Bank NXT followed in fifth place with a 28% increase, bringing its retail financing portfolio to EGP 13.21 billion, compared to EGP 10.32 billion at the end of 2024.

Emirates NBD Bank – Egypt came sixth, with retail financing up 25.8% to EGP 21.26 billion, versus EGP 16.90 billion in December 2024.

Arab International Banking Company «saib» took seventh place, recording 22.7% growth to EGP 24.27 billion, compared to EGP 19.78 billion previously.

Al Baraka followed in eighth place, as retail financing rose by 17.8% to EGP 14.75 billion by June 2025, against EGP 12.52 billion at the end of 2024.

In ninth place, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «ABK-Egypt» recorded 16.7% growth, with retail financing climbing to EGP 26.72 billion from EGP 22.90 billion.

Finally, First Abu Dhabi Bank – Egypt «FABMISR» ranked tenth, as retail financing grew 16.4% to EGP 24.21 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 20.80 billion at the end of 2024.

It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned above are based on the independent financial statements released by each bank at the end of June 2025.
