ODIN Financial Investments topped the list of investment banks achieving the highest return on average assets (ROAA) during the first half of 2025, recording a remarkable 63%. The bank posted a net profit of EGP 116.09 million in the first six months of the year.
The ranking, prepared by First Bank, covered six investment banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange. It showed that five banks achieved positive ROAA during H1-2025, supported by their ability to generate varying levels of net profits. In contrast, only one bank reported a negative return due to incurring losses in the same period.
ROAA is a key measure of how efficiently investment banks utilize their assets to generate net profits. A higher return indicates stronger efficiency in managing assets to deliver sustainable earnings.
Prime Holding for Financial Investments came in second place with a ROAA of 6.6%, posting net profits of EGP 38.55 million during the first half of 2025.
Beltone Holding secured third place, achieving a ROAA of 6.3% after reporting net profits of EGP 1.39 billion in the same period.

EFG Holding came in fifth place with a ROAA of 2.9%, after generating net profits of EGP 2.86 billion in the first half of the year.
It is worth noting that all figures used in calculating ROAA were based on the consolidated financial statements disclosed by each investment bank as of June 2025 and were annualized for consistency.
