ADIB-Egypt, NBK-Egypt, and Credit Agricole Fastest-Growing Foreign Banks in terms of Mortgage loans in the last 3 years

ADIB-Egypt topped the list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt by Mortgage loans over the past 3 years, with a growth rate of 1536.2%.

NBK-Egypt came second with 623.5%, followed by Credit Agricole in third place with 533.5%.

QNB-Egypt and EGBANK secured the fourth and fifth spots with a growth rate of 195.15% and 61 %, respectively.

According to First Bank's list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt based on mortgage loans over the past 3 years (2022–2024), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» ranked first with a growth rate of 1536.2%, recording EGP 599.72 million in 2024, up from EGP 36.65 million in 2021

The ranking includes 8 foreign banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available for the three years. six of them achieved positive growth rates, while two banks recorded a decline.

Notably, FABMISR achieved 218.7% with a growth rate over the last 3 years after undergoing acquisitions during this period, it was excluded to maintain the accuracy of comparison.

National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK-Egypt» came second with a growth rate of 623.5%, reaching EGP 1.78 billion in 2024, up from EGP 245.37 million in 2021.

Credit Agricole Bank-Egypt ranked third with a growth rate of 533.5%, recording EGP 1.48 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 233.57 million in 2021.

Qatar National Bank-Egypt «QNB» followed in fourth place with a growth rate of 195.1%, as mortgage loans rose to EGP 8.40 billion in 2024, from EGP 2.85 billion in 2021.

EGBANK came fifth, recorded growth of 61%, with mortgage loans reaching EGP 516 million in 2024, compared to EGP 320.56 million in 2021.
