EGP index increases against a basket of major currencies to 57.057 points on Tuesday
The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during Tuesday 17, January 2023 trading rebounding its downfall over the past couple of days. The index reached 57.0571 points, compared to 56.834 points on yesterday’s trading.
The Egyptian pound index increased against 6 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It climbed against the Chinese yuan, Japanese Yen, the euro, US dollar and Saudi Riyal, UAE Dirham while it declined against Pound Sterling
The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt increased from EGP 36.17 to EGP 35.28 at the end of Monday trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 36.05 to EGP 36.14.
The average selling price of the euro in Egypt decreased from EGP 32.11 to EGP 32.07, and the average buying price declined to 31.97
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt increased from EGP 23.09 to EGP23.02 while the buying price fell from EGP 23.01 to EGP 22.94
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt decreased from EGP 4.40 to EGP 4.36, while the buying price declined to EGP4.35
The average rate price of the US dollar in Egypt decreased from EGP 29.66 to EGP 29.59 for selling and from EGP 29.56 to EGP 29.49 for buying at the end of today's trading.
The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt decreased to EGP 7.88 for selling, while its buying price increased to EGP 7.85
