EGP index fell against a basket of major currencies to 75.030 points on Monday
The Egyptian pound index declined against the major currencies during Monday 2, January 2023 trading. The index reached 75.030 points, compared to 75,327 points at the end of last Thursday trading.
The Egyptian pound index declines against four major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound. It fell against the Pound Sterling, the Japanese Yen, the Chinese yuan and the euro while it remained stable against the US dollar and the UAE dirham. However it rose against the Saudi Riyals
The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt rose from EGP 29.78 to EGP 29.84 at the end of Monday trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 29.7 to EGP 29.68.
The average selling price of the euro in Egypt increased from EGP 26.35 to EGP 26.45, and the average buying price rose to 26.36.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt increased from EGP 18.51 to 18.94 while the buying price fell from EGP 18.45 to EGP 18.88 pounds.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt increased from EGP 3.55 to EGP3.59, while the buying price increased from EGP3.54 6to EGP 3.57.
The average rate price of the US dollar in Egypt remained stable at EGP 24.76 for selling, and 24.68 for buying at the end of today's trading.
The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt decreased to EGP 6.58 for selling, while the buying price remained stable at EGP 6.56
