SC Bank, saib, and ADIB-Egypt Fastest-Growing Private Sector Banks in Customer Deposits During H1-2025

SC Bank topped the list of the fastest-growing private sector banks in customer deposits with a growth rate of 29.3%, while saib secured second place with 18.5%.

ADIB-Egypt ranked third with a growth rate of 16.6%, followed by ABK-Egypt and Emirates NBD-Egypt, which claimed the fourth and fifth positions with growth rates of 16% and 15.2%, respectively, during the first half of 2025.

ADCB, AlexBank, and Bank NXT were also among the top 10 fastest-growing private sector banks in customer deposits, with growth rates of 14%, 13.4%, and 12%, respectively.

According to First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing private sector banks in customer deposits during H1-2025, Suez Canal Bank led the list after its deposits portfolio rose by 29.3%, reaching EGP 175.17 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 135.47 billion at the end of 2024.

The ranking tracked the development of customer deposit portfolios at 21 private sector banks operating in the Egyptian banking system for which financial data was available during H1-2025.

Results showed that 19 banks recorded positive growth, while two banks saw a slight decline, according to the independently published financial statements of each bank.

Returning to the ranking, saib secured second place, with its customer deposits rising by 18.5% to EGP 139.20 billion by June 2025, up from EGP 117.45 billion at the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» came third, with a 16.6% increase, reaching EGP 233.60 billion, compared to EGP 200.28 billion previously.

Al Ahki Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» ranked fourth, growing 16% to EGP 139.09 billion, versus EGP 119.89 billion at the end of 2024.

Emirates NBD-Egypt followed in fifth place, with deposits up 15.2% to EGP 147.61 billion, compared to EGP 128.18 billion.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt «ADCB» came sixth, recording 14% growth to EGP 132.85 billion, versus EGP 116.50 billion.

Alex Bank took seventh place with 13.4% growth, reaching EGP 190.59 billion, up from EGP 168.04 billion.

Bank NXT ranked eighth, with a 12% increase to EGP 76.20 billion, compared to EGP 68.01 billion.

First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» came ninth, with its customer deposits up 11.5% to EGP 288.48 billion, versus EGP 258.79 billion.

Finally, Credit Agricole Egypt ranked tenth, with an 8.8% increase to EGP 103.89 billion, compared to EGP 95.52 billion at the end of 2024.
