SC Bank, Faisal Islamic Bank, and saib Lead Private Sector Banks in Corporate Deposits Growth During H1-2025

Suez Canal Bank tops the list of the fastest-growing private sector banks in corporate deposits, with a growth rate of 28.5%, followed by Faisal Islamic Bank with 19.9%, and saib in third place with 15.5%.
ADCB and ABK-Egypt ranked fourth and fifth, with growth rates of 13.5% and 12.4%, respectively, during the first half of 2025.
Meanwhile, AlexBank, ADIB-Egypt, and FABMISR were also among the top 10 fastest-growing private sector banks in corporate deposits, with growth rates of 12%, 10.9%, and 9.6%, respectively.
First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing private sector banks in corporate deposits during the first half of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» led the list, with its corporate deposits portfolio rising by 28.5%, reaching EGP 146.99 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 114.34 billion at the end of 2024.
The report monitored 21 private sector banks operating in the Egyptian banking market, for which financial data was available. The results showed that 16 banks achieved positive growth in corporate deposits, while 5 banks recorded a decline during H1-2025, according to the independently published financial statements of each bank.
Private sector banks are defined as those in which private ownership exceeds 50%, according to data from Egypt’s Ministry of Public Enterprise Sector.
Returning to the ranking, Faisal Islamic Bank secured second place, with its corporate deposits portfolio rising by 19.9% during the first six months of 2025 to EGP 5.05 billion, up from EGP 4.21 billion at the end of 2024.
saib came in third, with corporate deposits increasing by 15.5% to EGP 89.48 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 77.50 billion at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt «ADCB» ranked fourth, as its corporate deposits grew by 13.5% during H1-2025, reaching EGP 106.06 billion, compared to EGP 93.47 billion at the end of 2024.
Al Ahli Kuwaiti Bank-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» secured fifth place, with corporate deposits up 12.4% to EGP 96.63 billion by June 2025, versus EGP 85.95 billion at year-end 2024.
Bank of Alexandria «Alex Bank» ranked sixth, with a 12% increase in corporate deposits, reaching EGP 58.33 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 52.06 billion at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» claimed seventh place, posting 10.9% growth to EGP 125.89 billion, up from EGP 113.48 billion in December 2024.
First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» ranked eighth, recording a 9.6% increase in corporate deposits to EGP 220.99 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 201.54 billion at the end of 2024.
BANK NXT followed in ninth place, with an 8.1% growth rate, as its corporate deposits rose to EGP 50.34 billion by June 2025, up from EGP 46.56 billion in 2024.
Finally, EGBANK ranked tenth, with corporate deposits growing by 7.8% to EGP 94.13 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 87.36 billion at the end of 2024.
