EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 40.001 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index rose against major currencies at the close of trading on Monday, November 10, 2025, as the index value increased to 40.001 points by the end of the day, compared to 39.936 points at the close of Sunday’s trading.

The rise in the index came as the pound strengthened against the US dollar, euro, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, UAE dirham, and Saudi riyal, while it remained stable against the British pound at the close of today’s session.

The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 47.38 to EGP 47.31 by the end of the day, while the average buying price declined from EGP 47.28 to EGP 47.21.

The average selling price of the euro dropped from EGP 54.81 to EGP 54.73, while the average buying price decreased from EGP 54.68 to EGP 54.61.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen declined from EGP 30.89 to EGP 30.69, and the average buying price decreased from EGP 30.81 to EGP 30.62 by the end of trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell slightly from EGP 6.65 to EGP 6.64, while the average buying price in Egypt remained stable at EGP 6.63.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham declined from EGP 12.90 to EGP 12.88, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 12.87 to EGP 12.85.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal decreased from EGP 12.63 to EGP 12.61, and the average buying price fell from EGP 12.60 to EGP 12.58.

Meanwhile, the average selling price of the British pound remained unchanged at EGP 62.38, with the average buying price also stable at EGP 62.21 at the close of trading.
