EGP index decreases against a basket of major currencies to 56.058 points on Sunday

The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during Sunday 22, January 2023. The index reached 56.068 points, compared to 56.133 points on Thursday’s trading

The Egyptian pound index decreased against two major currencies against a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It fell against the euro and pound sterling while it rose against the Japanese yen, and settled against the US dollar, Saudi riyal, the UAE dirham, and the Chinese yuan.

The average Pound Sterling selling rate in Egypt increased from EGP 36.28 to EGP 36.72 at the end of Sunday trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 36.14 to EGP 36.59.

The average rate of the Euro in Egypt increased from EGP 32.07 to EGP 32.15, while the average buying price increased to 32.03.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt increased from EGP 22.98 to EGP23.24 while the buying price increased from EGP 22.90 to EGP 23.16

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt increased from EGP 4.39 to EGP 4.40, while the buying price rose to EGP4.38

The average rate price of the US dollar in Egypt remained stable at EGP 29.67 to EGP 29.87 for selling and from EGP 29.58 to EGP 29.77 for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt increased to EGP 7.95 for selling, while its buying rate increased to EGP 7.92

The average selling rate of the UAE dirham remained stable at EGP8,08 to EGP8.13, while the buying rate increased from EGP8.05 to EGP8.10
