EGP index decreases against a basket of major currencies to 56.074 points on Wednesday

The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during Wednesday 18, January 2023. The index reached 56.074 points, compared to 57.057 points on Tuesday’s trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against 6 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It decreased against the Pound Sterling, the Chinese yuan, US dollar, the Euro, Saudi Riyal and UAE Dirham, while it increased against Japanese Yen

The average Pound Sterling selling rate in Egypt increased from EGP 36.28 to EGP 36.72 at the end of Monday trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 36.14 to EGP 36.59

The average rate of the Euro in Egypt increased from EGP 32.07 to EGP 32.15, while the average buying price increased to 32.03.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 32.02 to EGP22.98 while the buying price decreased EGP 22.94 to EGP 22

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt increased from EGP 4.36 to EGP 4.39, while the buying price rose to EGP4.37

The average rate price of the US dollar in Egypt decreased from EGP 29.59 to EGP 29.67 for selling and from EGP 29.49 to EGP 29.58 for buying at the end of today's trading.

The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt increased to EGP 7.90 for selling, while its buying rate increased to EGP 7.87.

The average rate of the UAE dirham increased at EGP8.08, while the buying rate increased from EGP8.03 to EGP8.05
