Both Emirates NBD and FAB UAE were among the top five global banking groups operating in Egypt by the end of June 2025, with total assets amounting to USD 365.79 billion and USD 295.61 billion, respectively.

The First Bank ranking of the largest international banking groups operating in the Egyptian banking sector as of June 2025 revealed that HSBC Group topped the list after recording total assets of USD 3.21 trillion by the end of June 2025.

The ranking included 15 international banking groups operating in the Egyptian market and was based on a descending classification by total assets denominated in U.S. dollars as of June 2025, ensuring an accurate and objective comparison.
