SC Bank, saib, and ADIB–Egypt Lead the Fastest Growing Banks in Customer Deposits After Neutralizing the Exchange Rate During H1 2025
SC Bank tops the list of fastest-growing banks in customer deposits after neutralizing the exchange rate with a growth rate of 30.4%, while saib ranks second with a growth rate of 19.4%.
ADIB-Egypt takes third place with a growth rate of 17.6%, while ABK–Egypt and Emirates NBD-Egypt are among the top five fastest-growing banks in customer deposits after neutralizing the exchange rate, with growth rates of 16.5% and 16.2%, respectively.
The First Bank list of the fastest-growing banks in customer deposits after neutralizing the exchange rate during the first half of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank «SC Bank» topped the list with a growth rate of 30.4%, after recording a customer deposit portfolio of EGP 175.17 billion as of the end of June 2025.
This ranking illustrates the real growth in the customer deposit portfolios of banks operating during the first half of 2025. It is worth noting that the First Bank list of the fastest-growing banks in customer deposits after neutralizing the exchange rate included 23 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which the necessary financial data were available.
Returning to the list, saib Bank secured second place with a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 19.4% during the first half of 2025, after its customer deposit portfolio reached EGP 139.20 billion by the end of June 2025.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» ranked third, with a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 17.6% during the first half of 2025, after recording a customer deposit portfolio of EGP 233.61 billion as of the end of June 2025.
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» came in fourth place, with a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 16.5%, after its customer deposit portfolio reached EGP 139.10 billion by the end of June 2025.
Emirates NBD-Egypt secured fifth place, achieving a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 16.2% during the first half of 2025, after its customer deposit portfolio amounted to EGP 147.61 billion at the end of June 2025.
Bank of Alexandria «Alex Bank» ranked sixth, with a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 13.9% during the first half of 2025, after recording a customer deposit portfolio of EGP 190.60 billion as of the end of June 2025.
First Abu Dhabi Bank-Egypt «FABMISR» took the seventh position, with a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 12.1% during the first half of 2025, after recording a customer deposit portfolio of EGP 288.48 billion as of the end of June 2025.
The United Bank came in eighth, achieving a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 11.9% during the first half of 2025, after recording a customer deposit portfolio of EGP 69.71 billion as of the end of June 2025.
Credit Agricole–Egypt ranked ninth, with a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 10.1%, after its customer deposits reached EGP 103.89 billion by the end of June 2025.
As for Banque de Cairo «BDC», it secured the tenth position, achieving a growth rate after neutralizing the exchange rate of 8.8% during the first half of 2025, after its customer deposit portfolio amounted to EGP 380.45 billion by the end of June 2025.
It is worth mentioning that all figures and growth rates cited in the above analysis are based on the independently published financial statements of each bank as of June 2025.
