HD Bank, CIB, and ADIB-Egypt top fastest-Growing Listed Banks in Equity During 9M - 2025

HDB (Housing & Development Bank) topped the list of the fastest-growing banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange in terms of equity growth during the first nine months (9M) of 2025, recording a remarkable growth rate of 38.9%.

CIB secured second place with a growth rate of 36.4%, while ADIB – Egypt ranked third at 36.3%.

Meanwhile, Suez Canal Bank and EGBANK completed the top five, with equity growth rates of 34.8% and 29.9%, respectively.

According to First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing listed banks by equity in 9M 2025, Housing & Development Bank led the list after its equity portfolio increased by 38.9%, reaching EGP 33.68 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 24.24 billion at the end of 2024.

The ranking, which included all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, showed that 11 banks achieved positive growth in total equity, while only one bank recorded a notable decline during the period.

Equity represents the residual interest in a bank’s assets after deducting all liabilities, essentially reflecting shareholders’ ownership of the bank’s net assets.

CIB ranked second with an equity growth rate of 36.4% during the first nine months of 2025, as its equity portfolio rose to EGP 206.85 billion by the end of September, up from EGP 151.69 billion at the end of 2024.

In third place, ADIB – Egypt recorded a 36.3% increase in equity, as its portfolio reached EGP 30.50 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 22.37 billion at year-end 2024.

Suez Canal Bank came fourth after its equity portfolio grew by 34.8% during the same period, reaching EGP 18.70 billion at the end of September 2025, versus EGP 13.87 billion at the end of 2024.

In fifth place, EGBANK achieved a 29.9% increase in total equity, rising to EGP 12.46 billion by the end of September 2025, compared to EGP 9.59 billion at the end of 2024.

It is worth noting that all figures and growth rates mentioned in this analysis are based on the independently published financial statements of each bank as of September 2025.
